Abbotsford is a ficticious location, loosely based on the CLC route between Manchester and Liverpool featuring a double track mainline with through station which has four platform faces, two of which are bays.

there is also an engine shed and small goods yard which can be shunted independently thus adding extra interest to the trains passing on the main lines.

Apart from the model of Abbotsford school, which was runner up in the N Gauge Society model making competition, everything is either staright out the box or kit built, the idea is to encourage people to have a go with materials and models they can obtain easily from the modelling trade.
