“Two Seasons” is the name of this N gauge model railway layout that features two contrasting seasonal scenes on opposite sides of the baseboard: one is a snowy winter scene with an ice rink, and the other is a sunny summer scene with a farm and a tram. 
The layout was built by the Cambrian Heritage Railway and Ellesmere Model Railway Club and has been exhibited at shows like the International N Gauge Show and in 2026 Model Rail Crewe.
  • Two sides, two seasons: 
    The layout is designed with two distinct visual sides, each representing a different season.
  • Winter scene: 
    This side features a winter landscape with snow, lit-up trees, and an ice-skating rink.
  • Summer scene: 
    This side has a summer feel with a farm, complete with stables and animals, and a small tram running through the scene.
  • Working lights: 
    Both sides of the layout have working lights to add depth and atmosphere to the scenes.
  • Scale and control: 
    The layout is built in N gauge and uses Peco track with DC control via a Gaugemaster controller.
  • Buildings and stock: 
    The buildings are by Metcalfe and the trains are by Graham Farish and Dapol.
